Dr. Calzavara currently serves as Deputy Director of the HIV Social, Behavioural and Epidemiological Studies Unit, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Her academic interests include: survey methods; social and structural determinants of health; sexuality, sexual behaviour and health; epidemiological, social and behavioural aspects of HIV transmission; marginalized populations and health (women, ethno-cultural minorities, inmates, injection drug users, men who have sex with men); and, HIV global health.
