The Banting and Best Department of Medical Research (BBDMR) was named after the discoverers of Insulin, Sir Frederick Grant Banting and Charles Herbert Best. Currently with 19 faculty members, the department focuses its research on proteomics, developmental biology, gene expression, functional genomics, and muscle biology.
