Abstract: I view Baroque as a cultural interface of epochal dimension set between the old and the new, the old aural world of manuscript culture and the new world of print that was “rolling off the press.” Today, as we move away from the “modern” mechanism of print to the “post-modern” circuitry of electronics, we find ourselves immersed in a similarly patterned, highly creative and equally unstable, hybrid cul-tural condition that we may call Neobaroque.
