Description: This article describes research by Patricia Shand, Lee Bartel and Lori Dolloff on the use of Canadian music in elementary and secondary school music curricula. The study looks at the content of music curriculum documents published by provincial ministries of education and by local boards of education, and also draws on data collected from individual teachers. The focus of this study is on how much of the music curricular material is Canadian.
