Recent Submissions

4.8 mm cavities. Nests of Symmorphus cristatus as seen on the face of the nest block.

4.8 mm cavities. The Potter Wasp Symmorphus cristatus. There are also suggestions of 3 or so Chrysis cocoons.

The same, 2: 3.2 mm cavities. A difficult diagnosis because of the narrow cavities. Probably not Heriades carinata, as resin opaque and abundant, more likely Megachile campanulae, and not Osmia coerulescens as apparently pure resin with no obvious leaf pulp.
