Abstract: Showing a 5 cavity nest block with 8.0 mm diameter cavities, and distinctive nests: Osmia lignaria (mud walls, pollen, spinning larvae, chocolate oval cooons) and wasp Isodontia mexicana (fine cut grass walls, protruding straw plugs, katydid prey, eggs, larvae and papery cocoons. Cavity 5 (topmost) has an old wasp nest. In cavity 1 (bottom) the wasp nest is at risk early next Spring when the bees exit long before the wasp would emerge. This bee wins most nest conflicts with other species, this wasp loses most.
