Title: BAR stand, block 211, 6.4 mm cavities. Two nest constructions for Megachile leaf-rolling bees. Top: probably the exotic farmed M. rotundata with nested 'dixie' cups with irregular edges to the side walls (cross walls hidden); below: probably M. relativa with regular visible cross walls and side walls. The 4th cavity up is anomalous as there is a transition from the putative relativa form to the putative rotundata form (see tantalizing earlier image of this block on 2006.08.10 in this collection).

Abstract: Cavity 4 may indicate either inconsistent construction or intergeneric 'nest war'. Whichever it is the image of 2006.08.10 seems close to the moment of transition.
