Title: 4.8 mm wide cavities. Potter Wasp, Symmorphus cristatus. Acrylic lidded nest block.
Authors: Hallett, Peter
Keywords: 4.8
Potter
Symmorphus
cristatus
Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: Early, soon discontinued, nest blocks, like this one, had either 5 or 4 cavities. Visual recognition of cavity width was not always easy, so I switched to nest blocks with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 cavities where cavity width was uniquely associated with the number of cavities (9.6, 8.0, 6.4, 4.8, 3.2 mm cavity widths respectively).
