Title: Computational code for second and third harmonic generation in layered media with high numerical aperture focusing Authors: Sandkuijl, Daaf Keywords: Numerical methods in physicsNonlinear microscopyBiophysics Issue Date: 28-Sep-2012 Abstract: This code allows the user to calculate the electric field at the focus of a high numerical aperture microscope objective for input beams arbitrarily shaped in terms of their polarization, phase and amplitude. The focal region can have an arbitrary number of interfaces perpendicular to the optical axis. The nonlinear polarization distribution generated by the focal electric field is calculated for second and third harmonic generation, as well as the far field harmonic electric field in both the forward and backward direction. The chirp-z transform is used to significantly speed up the calculations. URI: http://hdl.handle.net/1807/32992 Appears in Collections: Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences
