Abstract: This chapter is an introduction to Buddhism in the form of a dialogue between a knowledgable practitioner and a student/seeker. The practitioner explains the basic philosophical foundations of Buddhism, including the schools, the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path, the self, the sangha and taking refuge in the triple gem. Written in a conversational style suitable for young people and people new to Buddhism, this chapter describes what any new seeker should know.
