Abstract: Soto Vivas A, Barazarte H, Molina de Fernández D. 2001. First record of Eratyrus mucronatus Stål, 1959 (Hemiptera: Reduviidae) in the domiciliary atmosphere in Venezuela. Entomotropica 16(3):215-217. The habitat of the triatominos is an important factor in the Chagas´ diseases epidemiology. The main vectors of the diseases are species that can colonize the housings in high densities, they present marked anthropophilic and high infection rates to T. cruzi. The secondary vectors are generally classified as native of the regions, able to invade the houses in low densities and unable to colonize in presence of a primary species, they present different anthropophilic degrees and they are susceptible to the T. cruzi, in general they occupy natural and artificial habitats near the home. We report the occurrence of nymphs of Eratyrus mucronatus, a secondary vector, inside the bed in a house of the village Los Caprichos, of the Trujillo State, Venezuela.
